Hi! I'm Joanna and I'm the face behind BamaBookGal on Instagram.  I started this blog as a place for reviews of all the books that I'm currently loving and reading to live.  As well as sharing some bookish things that I love. 

My husband and I recently just moved from Tuscaloosa, AL (Roll Tide) to Columbus, MS.  For the past 7 years, I've been a 6th grade English teacher, until my husband and I decided to open our own business, Covington Wealth Management. 

I've always loved to read, but rediscovered my love over quarantine in 2020.  I discovered the bookstagram community in July and it is easily the best corner of the internet. My mom had around 800 children's books in our basement while I was growing up.  She was trying to grow her future classroom library, and I benefited by always have books at my fingertips. 

I love all genres. I'm not picky, and I will give just about anything a chance. 

Whenever I'm not reading, I love running, spending time outside with my husband, and watching Alabama football!
